Motherhood and a Stan

There's this stan who stalks me and has very coarse, vulgar humour.

Motherhood.  It's a labour of love and in this day and age it is difficult to raise children properly.  However, it can be done with due diligence and motherly vigilance.  As well as prayer.

There is so much temptation out there and you must be stringent with your children to be critical thinkers and to love and respect themselves more than these heinous advertisers and snake oil salesmen.

Love is a strong cornerstone of a proper foundation for your children.  Naturally, of course.

Snickers Donuts

For Donuts

  • 1 & 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 & 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup coffee
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

For Peanut Butter Topping

  • 2/3 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

For Garnish

  • Salted peanuts
  • Caramel sauce

For Donuts

  1. Preheat oven to 325F.
  2. In a medium bowl add all the dry ingredients.
  3. Give the dry ingredients a mix.
  4. In a separate bowl add the wet ingredients. Pour wet into dry. Whisk until combined.
  5. Your batter is ready for the mold! Don’t forget to spray the pan if you aren’t using something nonstick. The cleanest way to add the dough in is with a piping bag or even a plastic bag with the tip snipped off.
  6. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool on a rack.

For Peanut Butter Topping

  1. While donuts are fully cooling, combine marshmallow fluff and peanut butter in a small bowl.
  2. Beat both ingredients on a medium speed until smooth.

  1. Spread your marshmallow-peanut butter fluff generously on each donut.
  2. Top each donut with a handful of peanuts.
  3. Drizzle your donuts with caramel sauce.

  • Room Temperature Ingredients: Be sure to allow your dairy ingredients to reach room temperature. Room temperature ingredients not only combine more effortlessly (no over-mixing needed) but they also trap air so much better. This trap air will expand and produce a fluffy texture during your baking process.
